In the past 18 years, Imad has invested time and energy in software-as-a-service startups for the global market, hospitality board administration, and independent literary publishing.
As a seasoned architect of data management systems, Imad founded i-ngo.com, a social technology platform serving institutions worldwide. He has made successful exits in former startups, including co-founding a biodegradables company, board management of two 4-star hotels, partnership in application systems for national associations in Washington, D.C., and partnership in a food processing manufacturer. His professional interests in print publishing culminated in two national awards for Publio — an arts and literature magazine that he founded.
Imad's civic involvement includes the Council of Advocates for Boston Arts Academy, as well as previously heading NGO advisory boards and advocacy initiatives. He enjoys the pairings of keyboard and pixel, pen and paper. Imad holds an M.S. in Economics and a B.S. in Computer Science from Northeastern University, Boston.
